End of Grade (EOG) and End of Course (EOC) tests
are taken by children in elementary, middle and high school in North Carolina

End of Grade (EOG) Tests
In Grades 3-5 our tutors help your student:
-prepare for the content of the reading and math sections
-work on their test taking skills
-utilize practice tests to prepare for both the content and the taking of the test
In Grade 5, students also take the science EOG.

-understand science concepts
-utilize the practice tests to prepare for content and taking of the test
In Grades 6-8 our tutors help your student:
-prepare for the content of the reading and math sections
-work on goal setting so there is more independence in the test taking and studying
-work on test taking skills and use of the calculator
-utilize practice tests to prepare for both the content and the taking of the test
In Grade 7, students also take the writing EOG.

End of Course (EOC) Tests
The state of North Carolina requires the following End of Course Tests to be passed in order to graduate from high school and be college ready:
- English I*, II, III, and IV
- Civics/Economics*
- US History*
- World History
- Algebra I*, Geometry, and Algebra II (OR Integrated Math I, II, and III)
- a Physical Science Course
- Biology*
- Earth/Environmental Science
*means EOC must be passed in order to simply obtain a diploma
Note: There are other courses in which the EOC must be passed in order to pass the course only.
